The client envisioned a planter inspired by tropical style, but using only native or climate-adapted species. The goal was to create a lush, foliage-rich environment with vibrant tones and no flowers.
Challenges & Solutions
The design captured the essence of a tropical aesthetic without relying on exotic species, favouring plants that thrive in the local climate.
To achieve visual depth and dynamism, the planting scheme was composed with varied heights and densities, using a structure designed to highlight the diversity of foliage — from deep, vibrant greens to subtle touches of rich, reddish hues.
Both plant selection and planter design were carefully aligned with the architectural style of the space, ensuring seamless integration with existing materials and lines.
