About Project

The challenge for this garden design project in Avenida de Madrid was to create a vibrant and lively garden, full of year-round colour and flowers, while keeping maintenance low.

The brief was clear: a burst of warm colours, especially orange and red tones, while preserving the existing trees and a stunning bougainvillea that already gave character to the space.

Challenges & Solutions

To meet all the goals, we began by improving the soil structure and installing an  irrigation system. Removing the existing weeds and laying a low-maintenance, water-wise lawn ensured the garden would remain tidy and appealing with minimal upkeep.

The planting design was carefully considered to provide colour and visual interest throughout the seasons, using species selected for their resilience, beauty, and extended flowering period. Key plants included Tecomaria capensis, salvias, agapanthus, ceanothus, Strelitzia reginae, and ornamental canes, arranged in layered compositions with texture and contrast.

The result is a structured and expressive garden that respects the existing elements and delivers a bold, warm palette with strong visual impact and low maintenance requirements.
